Mashujaa Day Weekend

The well-deserved long holiday is finally here! Most likely you simply can’t wait for end of day so that you can loosen up and begin planning your weekend. Some of us have already packed our stuff and are ready to hit the road trip for the weekend. You do not have to go on a road trip to feel like it was a well spent weekend though. There are lots of great events that are still happening in Nairobi.

Beware: Your weekend will have been practically wasted if you stay in the house for the entire time.

The African Dance Party Featuring Wizkid

This is dedicated to celebrating the great African music coming from all corners of the continent and launching this festival will be none other than Wiz Kid, one of Africa’s biggest superstars! Get your Naija dancing shoes and prepare for an awesome Sunday night. DJ Crème de la Crème and a range of other deejays will also be there to d there best mixing just to entertain you. Full details and ticket prices here.

Sondeka Festival 2014

It will be three explosive days from 18th to the 20th October 2014, of creation, curation and innovation, fun, games, music, dance, till you drop and just people expressing themselves freely. Sondeka Festival is the only place you’ll get to watch Kenya’s award winning films courtesy of the Kenya Film Commission, attend a masquerade party, and much more all for the price of one season ticket at only 1,500 shillings, its non-stop-till-you drop-from-pure-bliss.

Kiamburing TT 2014

The event will be a fun Sunday outing for the family too. The speed festival will feature various classic cars, street modified cars, rally cars, exotic cars and bikes!
Car lovers will be entertained watching the drivers push their machines to the limit and thereafter join them at the common village area for the car festival and later the prize giving ceremony. If you love cars, then this is an event you cannot miss out on.

Impala Floodlit Tournament

The tournament kicked off on the 11th of October last weekend and It will be happening again in the next 2 Saturdays; 18th and finals on 25th October from 11 am. All happening at Impala Club and the entry is only Sh 300. It’s a rugby weekend!
