Paintball is the sport in which players compete in teams to eliminate opponents by tagging them with paint balls shot from a paint ball gun. Players play on outdoor fields which are filled with artificial objects that are used as cover for the players to avoid being shot at.
The 1st game type is usually “elimination” rounds where once you get shot, you are out! Whether or not it was one minute into the game. The other common type is “Capture The Flag” where teams are on different sides of the field and the flag is in the middle of the field and whichever team gets to the flag first wins. But of course it’s not that easy considering you are being attacked from different sides of the field by the other teams.
There are two places right now in Nairobi where you can go to experience this kind of fun are Jungle Paintball Kenya which is in Parklands and Paintball Fury which is in Karen so it’s up to you to decide which one to go to.
So what do you get for Sh 1000 you pay for as the entry? They give a jumpsuit that you wear over your clothes to protect yourself from the paintballs, a mask to protect your face because those paint balls are pretty painful you do not want one to hit you smack in the face, a paintball gun and 100 paintballs which are loaded in to the gun. Sounds awesome right? It actually is!! There are reload stations across the field where in case you run out of shots, you can get more at Sh 10 per ball so don’t go all commando and shoot away all your balls. Strategy is key.
